Following a deal with BBC Worldwide North America, Netflix has renewed Scrotal Recall for Season 2, Variety reports.
The second season of Scrotal Recall will consist of eight episodes and sees the popular British sitcom move from its original UK broadcaster Channel 4 to Netflix.
Scrotal Recall Season 2 sees series creator Tom Edge return as writer and executive producer along with Murray Ferguson, Andy Baker and Ed Macdonald.
Matt Forde, executive VP, content production, sales and distribution, BBC Worldwide North America, said of the renewal:
“BBC Worldwide North America and Netflix have had a long standing and successful relationship. We brought ‘Scrotal Recall’ to Netflix as it is typical of the distinctive and original programming they champion and bring to their viewers. Who can’t love Dylan and his band of dysfunctional 20-something friends as they look for life’s answers with a mix of partying and bad mistakes.”
Murray Ferguson, chief executive of Clerkenwell Films, added:
“After such a warm response to season one, it’s great to be working with Netflix and BBC Worldwide to bring back Dylan, Evie, Luke and many of the other great characters for another series of ‘Scrotal Recall’ on Netflix’s global networks.”
Scrotal Recall Season 1 continues to stream on Netflix in the US and Canada and will stream globally later in 2016.
Scrotal Recall Season 2 is awaiting an official release date, but will likely be available later in 2016 or early 2017 on Netflix.
Stay tuned as we now monitor the status of Scrotal Recall Season 3…
